Sometimes, bad things happen to good people. In this case, the good person is talented actress Eva Longoria-Parker, who, as we all have learned, has filed for divorce this week against her husband, and pro basketball star, Tony Parker. The celebrity couple has been married for about three years.
According to news reports, Ms. Longoria reportedly found text messages on her husband's cell phone from a teammate's wife. Of course, until the case has gone to court, everyone should withhold judgment about whether Ms. Longoria is a victim of adultery.
Most people know of Ms. Longoria for her fine acting work, either as Gabrielle Solis, on "Desperate Housewives," or for her earlier work on the t.v. soap, "The Young and the Restless."
But did you also know about Ms. Longoria's tireless work on behalf of numerous charities, including charities for cancer awareness, along with several abused children organizations? The list of charities that she helps and volunteers for is incredible!
Ms. Longoria is indeed "good people," and we should all wish for her quick healing from her current divorce-related problems.
